MCP servers the vendor builds and hosts. Use one to reach a vendor Merge has not built yet, or when you specifically want the vendor’s native tool surface. The trade-off is that the vendor can change that surface without warning.

Merge provides credential storage, OAuth, tool access controls and an audit trail.
