# Forecast revenue

> How to forecast revenue from opportunity stages, amounts, and close probabilities using the Merge CRM API.

#### User authorizes access

Your user authorizes your application to access their CRM via an OAuth or similar authorization flow through Merge Link.

#### Retrieve your user's opportunities and the associated models

Utilize the [**GET** /opportunities](https://docs.merge.dev/crm/opportunities/#opportunities_list) endpoint to pull in your customer's opportunities (with information on amounts and stages), as well as custom fields relevant to opportunity probabilities.

Utilize the [**GET** /stages](https://docs.merge.dev/crm/stages/#stages_list) endpoint to pull a list of your user's available stages for an opportunity, for context on the stage that each opportunity is in.

Utilize the [**GET** /accounts](https://docs.merge.dev/crm/accounts/#accounts_list) and [**GET** /contacts](https://docs.merge.dev/crm/contacts/#contacts_list) endpoints to pull information on the account and stage that each opportunity is associated with, along with custom fields relevant to the account/contact's sentiments.
